A delegation from the U.S. Embassy visited Ukraine to assess the effectiveness of mobile fire teams in protecting borders and critical infrastructure.

A delegation from the U.S. Embassy Kyiv Ukraine , led by Bridget Brink , along with representatives of the U.S. Congress, met with the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Serhii Deineko, and the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pivnenko. The participants discussed key issues of cooperation and technical support to the units of the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine responsible for countering terrorist threats and protecting critical infrastructure.
"Almost every day the enemy attacks Ukraine with drones and missiles. Critical infrastructure is often targeted by such terrorist attacks. Therefore, the lives of Ukrainians depend on the work and technical equipment of the Air Defence Forces of Ukraine, including the mobile firing groups of the National Guard of Ukraine. We are grateful to our American partners for understanding the importance of work in this area and for their comprehensive support of our units," said Brigadier General Oleksandr Pivnenko.
As noted, the US delegation praised the effectiveness of the mobile fire teams and assured of further support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
As a reminder, on Monday, 2 December, the United States announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth $725 million.
