The Ministry of Defence has codified and authorised the supply of the CRAB-LS universal ground robotic system, a domestically produced robotic system.
Censor.NET reports, citing the Ministry of Defence, that this was reported by the Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Arms and Military Equipment.
The purpose of the CRAB-LS complex
It is noted that CRAB-LS is designed to perform primarily logistical support tasks - delivery of necessary supplies, ammunition, equipment and evacuation of the wounded. It can also be used to install combat modules and as a transporter in dangerous areas.
Features of the CRAB-LS
The complex has a noiseless high-traction electric motor and all-terrain tyres that allow it to overcome sandy embankments, marshy areas, shallow ditches and obstacles.
The Ministry of Defence added that CRAB-LS systems are already performing various tasks in the Defence Forces. They evacuated dozens of wounded and delivered dozens of tonnes of cargo (ammunition, provisions) in the area of intense fighting, saving the lives of many soldiers. In addition, there is an example of the platform being used as a kamikaze ground drone.
