The district police department received a report from a local resident about suspicious objects resembling ammunition found in a forest belt near Poltava.
An investigative team and explosives experts immediately arrived at the scene.
Explosive experts seized 58 hand grenades of various types, about 20 fuses and detonators, four mines (three of them anti-tank), a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher and more than 1,600 rounds of ammunition of various calibres.
It is noted that the arms control sector of the Poltava District Police Department is currently resolving the issue of transferring the seized ammunition to the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
