Elimination of consequences of Russian "Shahed" attack continuing in Kyiv for second day. VIDEO+PHOTOS
Rescuers have been dismantling the rubble of a building in the Pechersk district of the capital for two days after the attack by Russian "shaheds" on the morning of 1 January.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the head of the KCMA Tymur Tkachenko.
"The elimination of consequences has been going on for two days now, and the work has not stopped at night. Equipment is still working in Pechersk. I was on site and personally checked the progress of the work," said Tkachenko.
Also, the SES said that rescuers continue to work at the site of yesterday's Russian shelling in the Pechersk district of the capital
The attack killed 2 people and injured 4 others.
"Emergency workers have extinguished the fires. The rubble is currently being cleared. The work involves 75 rescuers and 19 units of SES equipment," the statement said.
Russian attack on Kyiv on 1 January
As a reminder, on the morning of 1 January, Kyiv was attacked by enemy drones. Debris fell in two districts.
Hostile drones hit a residential building: two people were killed. 6 injured, including two pregnant women. The rescue operation was carried out in difficult conditions - stairwells collapsed.
The attack killed prominent neurobiologist Ihor Zyma and his wife, scientist Olesia Sokur.
The building of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine was also damaged.
