Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko has appointed Hero of Ukraine and National Guard veteran Dmytro Finashyn as his advisor on veterans' policy.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said this in his telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.
Dmytro Finashyn is a Hero of Ukraine who has risen through the ranks from private to officer. He was seriously wounded at the front but did not leave his comrades-in-arms in trouble, risking his life to save them. After rehabilitation, Dmytro returned to the National Guard.
"Dmytro is a young representative of the warrior community who clearly understands the needs of the military and veterans. He will deal with issues of improving rehabilitation, medical and psychological assistance, social support, and employment of combatants from the Ministry of Internal Affairs system," said Ihor Klymenko.
