Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with a delegation of the Lithuanian Seimas led by Speaker Saulius Skvarnialis in Kyiv.

He announced this on his Telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.

As noted, the talks touched upon key issues of defence cooperation, sanctions against Russia and Ukraine's European integration course.

"I thanked him for his significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine's defence. In particular, for the decision to allocate 0.25% of GDP annually to support our country. I also noted the importance of Lithuanian funding for the production of Ukrainian drones in Ukraine. We paid attention to increasing investments in our defence industry and launching joint defence enterprises. This will strengthen the Ukrainian economy and strengthen defence production," said Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister also stressed Lithuania' s continued support for Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

"Lithuania remains one of Ukraine's biggest advocates in this and other areas. We are extremely grateful for everything that Lithuania and the Lithuanian people have done and continue to do for Ukraine. I am confident that the new composition of the Seimas will continue to support Ukrainians in the difficult struggle against the Russian aggressor," the Prime Minister added.

The meeting also served as a platform to discuss further investments in the production of Ukrainian missile drones initiated by Lithuania and deepening cooperation in military training.
