Under the procedural supervision of the Sumy District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated into the war crime of striking a car park in Sumy by Russian troops.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the investigation, on 9 February 2025, at about 22:50, an enemy drone hit a car park in the courtyard of an apartment building in Sumy.
"A civilian was injured. Six vehicles burned to the ground, 15 others were damaged. Windows shattered in 4 high-rise buildings," the Prosecutor General's Office reminds.
Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the shelling.
As a reminder, at the end of the day on Sunday, 9 February, Russian invaders attacked Sumy with a "shahed". An enemy drone hit a car park in one of the city's residential neighbourhoods. In the morning, it became known that many cars were destroyed and five houses were damaged. A woman was injured.
