Former collaborator who worked for occupiers and later joined Armed Forces exposed in Kharkiv region – SBI. PHOTOS
The State Bureau of Investigation together with the Security Service of Ukraine detained a resident of Kherson region who worked for the occupiers in a penal colony, and after de-occupation hid it and joined the Armed Forces.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the State Bureau of Investigation.
The investigation found that in 2022 the man voluntarily cooperated with the occupation authorities and was appointed a "junior inspector of the security department" in the illegally created Dariivka Correctional Colony No. 10. For his work, he received a salary in Russian rubles.
After the de-occupation of the Kherson region, the defendant did not leave the occupied territories with the invaders, but instead moved to another region of Ukraine and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, trying to hide his past cooperation with the Russian occupiers
The SBI exposed the collaborator and detained him in Kharkiv region. He was served a notice of suspicion under Part 7 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (voluntary holding a position in an illegal occupation law enforcement agency in the temporarily occupied territory).
The court imposed on the suspect a measure of restraint in the form of detention. The sanction of the article provides for up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
