The Armed Forces of Ukraine recruited more contract soldiers over the 11 months of 2015 than over the past year.
Censor.NET informs citing the official page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
"14,500 contract soldiers were recruited to the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of 2015. They include 10,223 civilians, 622 conscripts, and 3,676 mobilized troops. The total number of contract soldiers recruited in 2014 was 11,985. Next year we plan to recruit from 18 to 20 thousand contract soldiers," the statement reads.

"Our plans for the next year are even more ambitious. To implement them, we have already introduced six-month contracts. We also plan to improve the financial security of the contractors soon," the General Staff wrote.
