How Polish striking drivers are connected to Kremlin
I was interested in the speech of the Deputy Minister of "Restoration" Serhii Derkach on the Ukrainian Pravda talk show on YouTube. There were accusations online that the blocking of checkpoints by Polish drivers was the work of Russian special services. Therefore, I decided to analyze how these striking drivers are connected to the Kremlin.
The Polish Ministry of Infrastructure does not officially support the protest. However, in Russian Telegram channels and certain forums, it was repeatedly stated that "this is what fascists deserve."
In the context of the organization of this organized activity, we draw attention to the local politician Rafał Mekler, who is the head of the far-right political party "Confederation of Freedom and Independence" in the Lublin Voivodeship.
Meckler tried to be elected to the European Parliament in 2019 from his district. And in 2023 - to the Polish Sejm, where he received 7,134 votes, which is as much as 1.1% of the vote. However, Meckler is not the sole "organizer"; in fact, he is only a link to the real follower of pro-Russian agendas, namely the political "leader" of the above-mentioned party, 81-year-old Janusz Korwin-Mikke.
From 2019 to 2023, he was a member of the Sejm elected on the electoral list of the Confederation of Freedom and Independence coalition. Corwin-Mikke has also made attempts to be elected to the European Parliament. And even not so long ago he succeeded. However, in 2019, the old-time politician announced that he was resigning from the European Parliament to return to Polish politics.
This politician has strongly pro-Russian views. In particular, after the occupation of Crimea, Janek Korwin-Mikke visited the peninsula in 2015, where he met with local collaborator leader Serhii Aksonov.
Let's go further. The Polish Sejm's Committee on Parliamentary Ethics punished Janusz Korwin-Mikke, a member of the Confederation party, with a warning for his offensive posts on Twitter in October 2022.
From a verified account on the social network X (Twitter), Janusz posted the following pro-Russian narratives: "When will you finally realize, you bunch of idiots, that sanctions against Russia are hurting us!!!?" and "Whoever supports sanctions against Russia is a saboteur, a traitor .... or just (most likely) a prize idiot!"
Meckler and his support group of strikers are in fact supporting Russia through their direct connection to Janusz Korwin-Mikke, the so-called "leader" of the Confederation of Freedom and Independence party.
In addition, the "leader" of the Polish far-right party Confederation said that if Poland cannot ensure the same level of alliance with the United States as Israel, it should side with Russia.
Now about the business interests of Polish politician Rafal Mekler. He is listed in Poland's official register as the owner of a transportation company that is directly involved in the strike, having organized it. Moreover, he constantly posts relevant information on his pages on Instagram, X (Twitter), and Facebook.
We made an extract from the official Polish register of Rafał Miekler's ownership of one of the companies. Yes, he is indeed the owner.

In other words, the leaders of the so-called transport strike on the Polish-Ukrainian border are directly linked to the Kremlin. Moreover, there is no doubt that these are only the "first signs" of such blockades and the creation of problems, both economic and military, for Ukraine.
For example, Russia's ally in Hungary, Viktor Orban, is still in power. This country has already begun to block the trucks heading toward Ukraine.
The leadership of Slovakia, which is loyal to the Kremlin, has been replaced by Robert Fico, who recently called the war in Ukraine a "frozen conflict."
As a result, the Polish protesters were joined by their Slovak "colleagues". On December 1, the Union of Road Hauliers of Slovakia (UNAS) began blocking the border crossing point for trucks on the Vysne Nemecke-Uzhhorod route. Queues of several hundred vehicles have already formed at three checkpoints, and there are also complications on the border with Hungary, with about a thousand trucks waiting to cross the border in the direction of the Tisa checkpoint.
Let's not forget about the elections in the Netherlands, where the leader of the anti-European far-right Freedom Party, Geert Wilders, won. The latter does not support the transfer of weapons to Ukraine. At the same time, it was the Netherlands that was supposed to transfer almost the largest number of F-16 aircraft we needed.
We will have an extremely challenging year in 2024, where the military fate of Ukraine will be decided.
