Russian FSB agent among leadership of SSU was exposed

According to Censor.NET sources, Dmytro Koziura, a staff member of the SSU, who had been in positions that provide access to top secret information for more than 20 years, was detained, had a wide range of contacts in the SSU.

Koziura, according to sources, worked for a long time before the beginning of the 2000s in the personnel department of the Academy of the SSU, got acquainted and had full access to the personal files of all cadets, that is, almost all the officers of the SSU could be under the control of Russian agents.

Koziura was appointed Chief of Staff of the SSU ATC in 2016. Service in the central office gave Koziura the opportunity to collect information not only about his area of work, but also about other departments.

It is immediately recalled that in 2015, General Valerii Shaitanov was appointed head of one of the combat departments of the Special Operations Centre ‘A’, who in 2014, as one of the commanders of the SSU special forces ‘Alpha’, illegally entered into negotiations with Russian terrorists and refused to use ‘Alpha’ against Russian terrorists in Sloviansk. Shaitanov was detained as a Russian agent in 2020 and convicted of high treason in 2023. And here's another detained agent in the SSU ATC.

At the beginning of the war, several other high-ranking Russian agents in the SSU were exposed. These included, first of all, the head of the Crimean SSU, Oleh Kulinich, a confidant of former SSU chief Ivan Bakanov. Brigadier General Andrii Naumov, the former head of the SSU's internal security department, also a confidant of Bakanov, fled on the eve of the invasion and is currently detained for smuggling in Serbia.

The extent of the penetration of Russian intelligence agents into the Ukrainian government is impressive.

Koziura's detention is a sign of a systematic effort to cleanse the SSU. The exposure and disclosure of such information at the highest level is respectable.
