Military Medical Commission

More details Ukraine’s Military Medical Commission (MMC) has been under scrutiny due to multiple bribery incidents and policy changes in 2024. Key matters include apprehensions of MMC officials demanding bribes, such as a Dnipropetrovsk doctor detained for soliciting UAH 20,000 to alter service suitability categories. Major reforms are also being implemented, with the Ministry of Defence collaborating with the Ministry of Health to shift towards electronic referrals through "Reserve+". This aims to streamline processes and reduce corruption risks by limiting physical interactions. Additionally, the introduction of a new fitness evaluation system categorizes service eligibility more transparently, improving fairness and efficiency in military service assessments. Another significant development is the abolishment of the "limited fitness" status, simplifying the classification into a clearer four-tier system and enhancing the concepts of medical assessments under military conditions.
