The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will adopt a resolution allowing the opening of another checkpoint on the border with Romania.

This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting, Censor.NET reports citing RBC-Ukraine.

"Today, Ukraine and Romania are building an extremely beneficial partnership, and we aim to constantly deepen it. We are adopting a resolution that will allow us to open a new Ukrainian-Romanian border crossing point Bila Tserkva - Sighetu Marmatiei," the Prime Minister said.

The minister also added that Ukraine has other plans for the western part of the country. For example, in the near future, it is planned to create 9 more new checkpoints on the border with Romania, Poland and other countries and upgrade 13 old ones.

"All of this will provide greater opportunities for Ukrainian exports and accelerate our sectoral integration into the European Union," Shmyhal said.

As a reminder, border guards have announced the detention of two more groups of men of military age who wanted to illegally leave Ukraine. The first group tried to cross the Tisza River to get to Hungary, and the second group tried to get to Moldova by minibus.

Fragments of a drone were found on a farm in Romania near the Ukrainian border. According to local media, it was a Russian drone.
