German Chancellor Scholz arrives in Kyiv on unannounced visit. VIDEO
On Monday, 2 December, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrived in Kyiv.

It is noted that by visiting Ukraine, Scholz wants to make it clear that Germany continues to stand by Ukraine.
"For more than 1,000 days, Ukraine has been heroically defending itself against Russia's merciless war of aggression," Scholz said upon arrival in Kyiv.
According to him, Germany "will remain the strongest supporter of Ukraine in Europe", Scholz also expressed hope for a quick supply of weapons.
"During my meeting with President Zelenskyy, I will announce further deliveries of €650 million worth of arms to be delivered by the end of December. We say what we will do. And we are doing what we say," the Chancellor said.
Asa reminder, earlier, the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, the head of the EU's foreign policy service, Kaja Kallas, and the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Martha Kos, arrived in Kyiv.
