During a battle in the Kursk region, soldiers of the 80th separate air assault brigade captured 11 Russian soldiers.
This was reported by the servicemen of the 80th SAAB in a telegram channel, Censor.NET informs.
According to the brigade command, the prisoners include former prisoners who signed a contract with the 11th Air Assault Brigade of the Russian Army.
"One of the units was tasked with capturing a settlement controlled by the AFU, where there was also a Russian civilian population. Poorly trained and poorly equipped ex-prisoners were left to die like cannon fodder, and their command fled as soon as the battle began. The enemy, having met our paratroopers, decided to surrender, thus saving their lives," the statement said.
