Mining of Chasiv Yar by sappers of 24th SMB: how TM-62M mines work. VIDEO
Sappers are setting up mine barriers in Chasiv Yar, using anti-tank mines to stop the advance of Russian troops.
This was reported in a telegram channel by sappers of the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo, Censor.NET reports.
Fields in Chasiv Yar are being mined to prevent the advance of Russian troops.
The video shows the process of installing the TM-62M anti-tank mine's long-range firing mechanism. As explained by military engineers, this mechanism allows the mines to be deployed in a combat position after a certain time after they have been installed.
"When it stops buzzing, the mine is armed," explains one of the sappers of Royal Engineers.
The mechanism's peculiarity is the dependence of the mine's activation time on air temperature and weather conditions, which makes it effective in various situations.
