President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wished the citizens of Ukraine Merry Christmas

"Tonight is a very special evening. It is Christmas Eve. And this is our third Christmas during the war. Our large Ukrainian family cannot celebrate it to the fullest - the way we would like to, the way it should be.
Unfortunately, not all of us are at home. Not everyone, unfortunately, has a home. And, unfortunately, not all of us are with us. However, despite all the troubles that the enemy has brought, he has not managed to capture or destroy the main thing - our hearts, the light inside us, faith in goodness and mercy, the human being inside each of us.
We have not lost our values, and so today we honour all those who have given their lives defending us. We pray today for all those at the frontline to come back alive. For all those in captivity to return home. For all those whom Russia has driven into occupation. For all those who were forced to leave. All those who have a hard time, but they have not lost Ukraine in themselves, and therefore, Ukraine will never lose them.
That is why, no matter where we are today, we are definitely together. For the second time, we celebrate Christmas on the same date as one big family, one country. For the second time in modern history, Christmas unites all Ukrainians. Today we are side by side. And we will not get lost. Whether in person or in our minds, we will greet each other, call our parents, kiss our children, hug our families, and remember our own. Whether in person, at a distance or in our hearts, Ukrainians are united today. And as long as we do this, evil has no chance. And this unity and warmth towards each other is the true spirit of Christmas, its unique atmosphere, which we will keep inside us and share with those around us. With everyone we love. With everyone who is so close to us.
And this is every Ukrainian and every Ukrainian woman today. I wish you all a Merry Christmas!" - he said.
According to Zelenskyy, all we need is to live peacefully on our land.
"To see the sun, your own sky, and the Christmas star in it, not Iranian "shaheds" and Russian missiles. But some people are 'bored and lack of movement'. These words are proof of how far they are from God, from Christianity, from real faith. And this is proof of why their bondage and darkness are losing. We know this. The world knows it.
And God knows this. And evil will lose. Ukrainians believe in this and pray for this. We want all that evil and all that dirt to disappear from our land forever. And Ukrainians certainly deserve this," the President concluded.
