President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the highest state awards to Ukrainian servicemen - the Golden Star of Heroes of Ukraine and the Cross of Military Merit.
He said this in his Telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.
"There are almost 200 independent states in the world. Each of them has its own character and reason for being on the earth. For Ukraine, this reason is our people. Today, on the day after Christmas, we are honouring our bravest warriors and most loyal people with the highest state awards - the Golden Stars of Heroes of Ukraine - and a special military award - the Cross of Military Merit," the Head of State noted.
Those who defend Ukraine. Those without whom Ukraine cannot be imagined. Those who have forever connected themselves and their fate to Ukraine's independence. On behalf of the whole of Ukraine, I thank you for being in Ukraine. We will definitely preserve our Ukraine. And Ukraine will definitely honour each and every person who saved it," the president stressed.
The website of the Office of the President states that Captain Bondarenko Vladyslav Mykolayovych and Colonel Lanovyi Maksym Borysovych were awarded the Cross of Military Merit.
