Last battle for Vyshneve: Leaving encirclement without weapons. VIDEO
On the evening of October 29, a subgroup of the 11th Brigade of the NGU, led by 29-year-old Mykhailo Nikitin, went on a mission to the village of Vyshneve near Selydove to hold their positions. The enemy had already occupied a large part of the village. The subgroup leader, nicknamed "Nikitos", took part in a battle that lasted more than 5 hours and killed more than 40 occupiers.
According to Censor.NET, Mykhailo Nikitin spoke about the battle in an interview with "Butusov Plus". During the extremely dangerous retreat, he sustained a mine-blast wound to his face. His comrades, thinking he was dead, left without him. After losing a lot of blood, Mykhailo miraculously regained consciousness and managed to get out on his own. "Nikitos" was awarded the highest state award, the "Hero of Ukraine", for his heroism and significant results.
