President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
According to Censor.NET, Zelenskyy announced this in his Telegram channel.
"The main focus is on strengthening the air defence of our country and involving NATO countries in the purchase of Ukrainian weapons based on the Danish model," the statement said.
Zelenskyy noted that the common task of the partners is to ensure Ukraine's strong position to bring about a just and lasting peace.
"Today we also discussed how the platform of the North Atlantic Alliance can be used to achieve this goal," the President added.
According to the Office of the President, the President emphasized the importance of launching the NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) initiative for effective coordination of military assistance and training of Ukrainian soldiers.
Also during the meeting, the parties discussed the work of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense in the Ramstein format and its contribution to decision-making to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.
