The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, has blocked the restoration of 103 buildings in the capital that were damaged by Russian strikes, as well as compensation for people's lost homes.

This was stated at a session of the Kyiv City Council by Dmytro Bilotserkovets, co-chairman of the Vitalii Klytschko's UDAR faction, Censor.NET reports.

"The head of the KCSA provokes problems in the following issues. He has blocked the restoration of Kyiv residents' housing damaged by enemy strikes. Residents of 11 apartments are already waiting for the approval of the decision of the commissions dealing with compensation. If no action is taken, we will have 56 applications from Kyiv residents in the queue. The head of the KCMA also blocked the restoration of 103 buildings damaged by enemy strikes. Question: when will the work plans for inspecting the damaged facilities be approved? Without fixing the damage, it is impossible to start restoring 103 buildings," said Dmytro Bilotserkovets.

The deputy stressed that this is only a small part of the issues important for the city that were blocked by the head of the military administration.

"It looks like the government has put a 'political pound' at the head of KCMA and is acting with him on the principle that the worse it is for Kyiv, the better it is for them," Bilotserkovets said.

According to Bilotserkovets, the head of the KCMA is engaged in his political career, not in the defence of the city.

"He has been the head for a month now. And during this month, he has already started to work on his political career. Unfortunately, he is not involved in the defence of the city. He is not a military man. And the preparation of the city's defence should be the responsibility of the military. But if the military has been removed, then perhaps the military administration has already fulfilled its function? The city needs to be told what exactly the head of the military administration plans to do. If it is not a military person, then why is it needed?" - Bilotserkovets asks.

Earlier, the KCSA reported that since the beginning of the year, the military administration has not considered written or verbal requests from city services. In particular, plans to inspect 87 high-rise buildings, 2 educational institutions, 2 medical facilities, 3 transport infrastructure facilities, 3 administrative buildings, and others damaged as a result of hostilities are awaiting the KCMA head's signature. In addition, the head of the KCMA is not considering decisions in the housing and utilities sector, including the recognition of critical enterprises that ensure the heating season, tariffs for individual business entities, the extension of licences for educational institutions, etc.
