MP Deidei confronts ATO veteran, Donetsk airport defender, Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office First Deputy Head Maksym Hryshchuk. VIDEO

People’s Front faction MP Yevhen Deidei and his supporters got in a heated argument with Deputy Heads of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Maksym Hryshchuk and Volodymyr Kryvenko after the court hearing on the pre-trial restriction against Naftohaz NJSC Deputy CEO, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Odesa Port Plant Serii Pereloma.
The Solomianskyi district court of Kyiv imposed two-month pretrial confinement on Naftohaz NJSC Deputy Head, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Odesa Port Plant Serii Perloma with a right to post bail in the amount of 80 million hryvnia (about $3.2 million), Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.

A conflict between lawmaker Yevhen Deidei and Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Deputy Head Volodymyr Kryvenko developed after the court's hearing.

When MP Deidei started asking Kryvenko whether he had served at the front, Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office First Deputy Head Maksym Hryshchuk intervened saying that he hsd participated in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in Ukraine's east and asked everyone to calm down. However, Deidei and his associates made threats in response.

MP (People's Front) Mykola Kniazhytskyi also engaged in the argument.

Maksym Hryshchuk has been working in the prosecutor's office since 2008. He participated in battles in the ATO zone, including those of December 2014 - January 2015. He was also among the Donetsk airport defenders. He received the call-sign 'Prosecutor' as he served in the Donbas and was nicknamed Prosecutor-Cyborg after he was discharged. He was appointed Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office first deputy head on the proposal of Anti-Corruption Prosecutor Nazar Kholodnytskyi Dec. 4, 2015.

As previously reported, Naftohaz first deputy CEO Pereloma and Odesa Port Plant deputy CEO Shchurykov were detained on July 14 on suspicion of property embezzlement.

Naftohaz Ukrainy NJSC has confirmed the information about the detention of its top manager Serhii Pereloma, noting that the case is not connected to Pereloma's work in Naftohaz.

Later, the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office stated it would ask for at least 205 million hryvnia in bail for Pereloma and Shchurykov.
