All four Donbas-wounded Ukrainian soldiers who flew to the U.S. to take part in the military run have covered the distance.
This was the first time that Ukrainian team participated in the annual Marine Marathon in Washington, D.C., Censor.NET reports citing a post by Vsevolod Stebliuk, doctor who is currently with the Ukrainian fighters in the U.S.

The team consisted of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) veterans Vadym Svyrydenko, Vadym Maznichenko, Pavlo Stepanov, and Dmytro Fesenko, and three accompanying persons.

"Our team was supported by about 100 fans from across the United States; the Ukrainian stand was the most populated and active one.

"Our veterans not only defeated their wounds, but also carried the Ukrainian flag with pride among the marathon participants, proving that Ukraine is a country with invincible people! Glory to Ukraine!" Stebliuk wrote.

Svyrydenko and Maznychenko ran on special running prostheses produced for them in the U.S. during their rehabilitation six months ago.

The runners are returning from the United States on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m. in Boryspil airport.

"Come and welcome the Heroes back. This is important for them. They said they would be glad to be greeted with tasty cakes. For instance, Vadym Maznychenko loves the Napoleon cake..." Stebliuk wrote.
