Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) were conducting 319 criminal investigations as of late March 2017.

"The total amount of damage inflicted by investigated crimes exceeds 85 billion hryvnia ($3.162 billion)," the message says.
According to the NABU, 49 proceedings are looking at corruption in 35 state-owned enterprises, with 15 of them being on the list of top 100 state companies, as suggested by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
Early findings indicate that the total amount of damage caused to these enterprises by criminal corruption violations exceeds 20 billion hryvnia ($744.141 million ). The most corrupt companies belong to the fuel and energy, agrarian and industrial, mining and metallurgical sectors, chemical and transport industries.
As of early April 2017, 78 persons were indicted on charges of causing damage to state enterprises. Middle and senior managers are involved in most of the criminal schemes.
Moreover, 24 cases concerning the activities of state companies have been referred to courts, with 41 persons being indicted.
As reported, the NABU and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) helped return 116 million hryvnia ($4.316 million) to the accounts of state companies in 2016. They also managed to prevent theft of almost half a billion hryvnia (approx. $18.603 million). Several large-scale corruption schemes were eliminated.
